Notice Regarding Structural Reforms and Personnel Changes Effective April 1, 2014

Benesse Holdings, Inc. (hereinafter "Benesse Holdings") announced today the following structural reforms and personnel changes to take effect on April 1, 2014.

 

1. Structural Reforms

Benesse Holdings has initiated "Benesse Group Initiatives to Achieve Reformation and Growth " to promote further growth of the Benesse Group, targeting the end of fiscal 2015. The reform activities aim to achieve the following three objectives.

1. Establish a lean overall Group structure

2. Reform each business domain to achieve further growth

3. Develop future managers and promote flow of human resources within the Group

Benesse Holdings will bolster integrated management and execution activities to drive reform activities rapidly forward. From April 1, 2014 the company will introduce an in-house company structure and corporate senior vice president system, with each corporate senior vice president taking responsibility for business execution under the Board of Directors of Benesse Holdings. Nine in-house companies will be formed based on strategic business themes for driving the growth of the Benesse Group, as follows.
