Benesse Dissolves its Subsidiary

The Board of Directors of Benesse Corporation today resolved the dissolution of its subsidiary, Carry Com Co., Ltd., effective March 31, 2007. The principal business of Carry Com Co., Ltd. was the truck transport services and warehouse storage for the Benesse and Benesse Group. The decision was made to dissolve the company and integrate its operations into Benesse.

Final settlement date is to be early August, 2007.
The dissolution of Carry Com will have a negligible effect on operating performance.
