Benesse President Speaks at Top-Level Symposium on Development of Child Learning Business in China

Benesse President and COO, Masayoshi Morimoto, together with other members of Benesse's senior management team, recently attended a top-level symposium in China on the development of the country's child learning business. Development is being driven by the China National Children's Center, a state-run child learning business affiliated with the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), a national women's organization in China. The center is moving toward commercialization in an effort to further expand its child learning business, and as part of this process, has established an independent corporation called the Children Enterprise Development Group of All-China Women's Federation. As the representatives of Benesse, Mr. Morimoto and his colleagues were invited to the founding ceremony of the new company, held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 8. Following the ceremony, at the symposium on development of the child learning business in China, Mr. Morimoto gave a speech titled "Japan's Education-related Businesses and Benesse Corporation." Benesse and the new company are now moving to strengthen ties.
